Scarborough Councillor Parthi Kandavel hosted an evening at the Scarborough Civic Centre to honour the Rotary Clubs of Scarborough. This was an engaging event, celebrating the impactful work of local Rotarians in our community. Our very own Barbara Dickson, founder of the Bomb Girls Legacy Foundation and author of Bomb Girls: Trading Aprons for Ammo, shared the inspiring story of the 21,000 women and men who worked at General Engineering Co. Canada Ltd. (GECO) during WWII. Their spirit of volunteerism and service reflects the mission of all Rotary Clubs.
